Welcome from Bill Coffey, Goldsmith!

The Rocky Mountains of Western America and Canada are home to one of the most majestic animals in the world. Elk are known for their impressive antlers as well as the two ivories hidden among their teeth. Elk are the only land mammals in North America to have genuine ivories that are prized by hunters. These ivories can be converted into jewelry for a loved one or as a memento of a once in a lifetime hunt. Goldsmiths such as Bill Coffey utilize elk ivories, diamonds, turquoise and various other fine gemstones to custom design contemporary jewelry for his customers.

The elk ivory jewelry designs you will see on this website are made of 18 karat yellow gold and a variety of precious gemstones. The jewelry exudes warmth of color, is durable and very comfortable to wear. Since no two pieces are the same, each design is totally unique. Bill also makes a line of 18 karat gold wedding bands, pendants, and earrings without elk ivory. Click on the thumbnail photos to see blowups and more details about each item.

Bill Coffey has spent a lifetime as an acclaimed goldsmith working with elk ivory, turquoise and Australian opals. His knowledge and experience show in every design.

I don’t have a shopping cart on our website, because nothing is mass produced. Each piece you order will be unique and made especially for you. Please contact Bill by mail, telephone or email, and he will create a one-of-kind heirloom for you to enjoy and cherish for years.
